First Look: Halle Berry In L.A. Riots Drama 'Kings'

The Orchard has released the first photos of the upcoming L.A. riots drama 'Kings', from Academy Award-nominated director Deniz Gamze Ergüven in her English language debut and starring Academy Award-winner Halle Berry and Daniel Craig.

The film will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from September 7-17, and The Orchard is planning a fall release date during awards season.

Synopsis: A recluse (Daniel Craig) helps a woman (Halle Berry) and her 12 foster children when riots erupt in Los Angeles following the 1992 beating of Rodney King, in the English-language debut from writer-director Deniz Gamze Ergüven.

Halle Berry-Starrer 'Kings' To World Premiere At 2017 Toronto International Film Festival In September

Halle Berry has been a busy woman promoting 'Kidnap', which hits theaters next week on August 4th, 'Kingsman: The Golden Circle', which is due September 22nd, but her third film set for release this year and arguably the most exciting, 'Kings', has been slotted to debut at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, which runs September 7-17.

Also starring Daniel Craig, the film is set against the explosive riots that rocked L.A. in the aftermath of the acquittal of the cops who brutally assaulted Rodney King. The Orchard has acquired the U.S. rights for the picture with a release date planned for the fall.

Halle Berry Hosts 'Kidnap' Screenings In Miami & Chicago

Looking like the perfect vision of beauty in white, Halle Berry attended the Miami premiere of her upcoming film 'Kidnap', which hits theaters on August 4th.

Luis Prieto, the film's director, was photographed with Berry at one point taking a stage beneath a huge screen, addressing the crowd who'd turned out to the Miami venue.

On Tuesday (July 25th), the 50-year-old actress hosted another screening of the action thriller at Kerasotes Showplace in Chicago, Illinois, where she stunned in a black dress.
