Halle Berry Honors Violence Survivor At VH1's 'Dear Mama'

Academy Award-winning actress and proud mother, Halle Berry, dazzled in black as she attended the VH1 event, 'Dear Mama: An Event To Honor Moms'.

Held at The Huntington Library, Art Collection, and Botanical Gardens in Pasadena, California on Saturday, May 6th, she was there to honor a mom for the domestic violence prevention and intervention organization, The Jenesse Center.

For the past 18 years, Berry has been a champion for the center and all of the work they do, and urged audience members and viewers to support women in need.

"In light of what’s going on in our government right now, it’s important that we all stand up and fight to ensure that these women are not left behind and they are not penalized for being victims and dared to have the courage to survive." Watch a clip beneath:
